• Bader program embraces 127 projects worth more than 230 million riyals during 8 years

           The head of Bader administration for technology incubators in the Eastern Region, Ahmed Al Qaseer confirmed that the program seeks to provoke the culture and environment of entrepreneurship and innovation and raising the level of qualifications and talents in this regard by embracing new ideas and projects and convert them to existing projects.
     Al Qaseer said in a workshop organized by the program in collaboration with the Committee of Communications and Information Technology of Asharqia Chamber yesterday Tuesday, September 27, 2016 that the program by  sponsoring new ideas aimes to diversify the economy and support knowledge based economy, and adopting improved international practices and the creation of improved support policies that suit the ambitions and needs of entrepreneurs locally, the support and development of the fields and industries required by the local competitive environment, take advantage of local resources and using the strengths and opportunities points.
    He added that the program starts in its activity of a particular understanding of the concept of entrepreneurship, which means innovation and provides a good or service that solves a problem, or involves with new solutions, and that the entrepreneur is the initiator  person  is the one characterized with insisting and adventure, and has the talent to adapt to the changing market.
    Al Qaseer pointed to the large number of investors, businessmen and women professionals in the field of information technology that the program offers its customers entrepreneurs legal and accounting, technical, and marketing, and consulting services as well as assistance in obtaining convenient financing from funding agencies, and the main goal of the program is to transform ideas and innovations to existing projects .. He pointed that the simple requirements of the program consider innovation and persistence and sticking to information technology.

     Al Qaseer pointed  that among the services is the
    incubating of projects, and the speeding ones, and the difference between the two is that the incubator  relates to an existed project where it is supported with services, while speeding taking a new idea that is applicable and turn it into an existing project after the idea and owner pass a training and qualification program that takes the idea to action and to work on the ground.
    He said that the program has been embraced for 8 years 127 projects with a total worth of 230 million riyals, provided about 700 jobs, and 16 projects of the incubated projects have graduated and achieved first attraction by international companies, and work is ongoing to improve the development in various regions of the Kingdom, including the eastern region, which will open a branch in the program within the next year.
    The workshop has been moderated by a member of the Chamber Board of Directors and Chairman of the Information and Communication Technology Ibrahim Al Sheikh, who has complemented the programs Bader, one of King Abdul Aziz City Programs for Science and Technology, that works effectively since it was founded in 2007 to develop and grow and support the entrepreneurial process in the technical fields, also for its role in bridging the gap between ideas and the capital owners.
    Al Sheikh said : "Everyone knows that communication and information technology sector are of the most competitive sectors not in the Kingdom, but also in the whole world, as it depends in the development and growth on the non conventional ideas that are convertible into successful business, that will open multiple production channels provide more job opportunities for Saudi youth of both sexes. Therefor, the program "Bader" with its variety of services and support opportunities, especially for telecommunications and information technology sector projects and enhancing the concept of leadership and technical work, as a preferable opportunity for the communication technology and information technology top figures, as it depends in its progress on the unconventional in various products of the sector of electronic and e-content such as trade and cloud computing and social networking, and others.
    He pointed that this workshop is a real opportunity for the owners of ideas and researchs in technical fields to see and get to know what the program "Baader for technology incubators" presents of of consulting and other services, that aim at transforming ideas into projects that will support our national choices about localization policies and entrepreneurship and the technical creativity .
    Al Sheikh praised the collaboration and communication between Asharqia Chamber on one hand and King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology on the other hand; in provoking and supporting the technical sector, both as for its interactive role in supporting the localization decision of the sector or in supporting all that could push the sector towards the pursuit growth locally and internationally, also the progress of entrepreneurship and innovation in the technical field between young men and women of the country who have creative technology ideas in early stages ..
    At the end of the workshop, the audience have participated and then the guest has been honored with a memorial shield presented by the head of the board of directors of the Chamber member Ibrahim Al Sheikh.
